The giving spirit of the season was on full display last week at Monsignor J.E. Ronan Catholic School in Beeton.

Before heading out on Christmas break, the school held its Advent concert. The show featured over 60 kindergarteners, who sang a variety of seasonal favourites, while junior and intermediate students performed a sing-a-long in French to help bring hope and solidarity in wake of the recent tragedy that occurred Paris.

A raffle was also held to raise money to support the Society of St. Vincent de Paul from St. Paul’s Church in Alliston and its ongoing efforts to bring a Syrian refugee family to the community.

The raffle for Blueberry the stuffed raccoon raised $550 for the sponsorship committee.
