Christoph Strässer, German government commissioner for Human Rights, suggested granting what he called “humanitarian visa” for refugees coming from war zones, in a response for the last humanitarian crisis that took place in the Mediterranean that took lives of hundreds of refugees. In an interview with the German “AWD R 5” radio station Strässer said, this visa will allow these people a legitimate entry to a European country without being exposure to the risk of illegal entry. He also called to put a large maritime rescue program, the same demand by the German opposition parties and politicians of the Social Democratic Party, partner in the ruling coalition in Germany. On the other hand, Frank Chwebh, human rights expert in the parliamentary bloc of the Social Democratic Party “It is ridiculous that the same refugees, who grant asylum or stay permit in Europe when they arrive, will not be rescued by the EU from drowning”. Chwebh also added via”Berlin-Brandborj” station, that the German interior Minister “Toms de Mesar” in particular, should encounter the problem of refugees NOW, not to be responsible for failure in supporting help.
