Saudi Arabia sends winter supplies to Syrian refugees

The Saudi National Campaign to Support Brothers in Syria on Thursday (February 19th) dispatched its 25th aid convoy to refugees in Syria and Turkey, carrying winter supplies, Saudi Arabia’s Al-Watan daily reported. The convoy will deliver some 100,000 winter items to displaced persons in parts of northern Syria, including Aleppo, Idlib and Rif Latakia and to Syrian refugees living in camps in Turkey. The 23-truck convoy is carrying 106,320 blankets and jackets that will be distributed to Syrian refugees inside Syria and in cities along the Turkish border, including 10 trucks allocated for Rif Idlib and Rif Hama and border refugee camps near Bab al-Hawa border crossing. Six trucks will go to refugee camps in Bab al-Salameh border crossing in Azaz, Rif Aleppo, and two trucks will be sent via Yayladagi crossing to complete distribution in Rif Latakia. Five more trucks are carrying supplies for Syrian refugees in Kilis, Konya, Batman and Reyhanli in Turkey.
