“There is a hope” festival for orphans and disabled childrenimage

In cooperation between the Owners Association “caring for Orphans and disabled” and the Association of Charitable Giving Developmental, “There is a hope” festival was opened on Sunday, at “Jane” lounge, in the city of Afrin, Aleppo, under the slogan “ better future for our orphans”. The festival began a minute of silence for the souls of «martyrs», followed by a speech from Osama Ahmed Khalil, general manager of the festival, in which he welcomed the presence of the Arabs and the Kurds, and then Almasa Abdo, director of the Owners Association, gave a speech, in which she spoke about the establishment of the association, and the difficulties they faced in their work since establishment, and the goal of the festival. As all of Mustafa Abu Ghias, a director of Charity, Sadika Abdo, administrative in orphanage, spoke welcoming attendees from inside and outside of Afrin. The festival program continued with entertainment and religious activities. There was recitation from the Holy Quran by the child Ahmed Omar, one of the orphans at Dara Aza. Also there was a play entitled «fragments of life», in addition to some tricks by Mahmoud Ghali, along with singing in Arabic and Kurdish. In addition to an exhibition by artist Aslan Mamo for his paintings at the festival «support for orphans.» At the end of the festival, the office of «self-management» was honored, and a thankful card was provided to the Office of Social Affairs and Labor. Also the representative of the body of Culture, Haitham Mustafa, was honored along with the head of the Health Authority, and a representative of the defense team, and a representative of the Syrian Red Crescent in Afrin and Azaz, and a representative of the organization «IHHA» Tureky.
