Kuwaiti Minister of Justice and Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Yaqoub Al-Sanea supervised the distribution of humanitarian aid to 1,500 Syrian refugee families in Jordan on Thursday. Kuwait’s humanitarian aid campaign was instructed by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah in order to alleviate the woes and sufferings of Syrian refugees in Syria’s neighboring countries amid such cold weather conditions, the minister told KUNA. Humanitarian aid is being handed out to Syrian refugees at refugee camps in Jordan, he said, appreciating Jordan’s efforts for hosting Syrian refugees as a sign of this Arab country’s national humanitarian commitment. The minister arrived here on Wednesday, leading a Kuwaiti delegation partaking in the delivery of humanitarian aid to Syrian refugees at Al-Zaatari and Al-Arzaq camps. The minister and his accompanying delegation will then travel on to Lebanon also to hand out humanitarian aid to Syrian refugees at camps there. Al-Rahma International Charity, an affiliate of Kuwait’s Al-Islah Society (Society for Social Reform), had recently distributed aid to Syrian refugees in Jordan as part of an urgent campaign, launched by Kuwaiti people, in order to ease out their sufferings due to cold weather and blizzards
