Zakat House distributed 5,500 food parcels to Syrian refugees in Jordanimage

Kuwaiti Zakat House distributed yesterday 5,500 food parcels to Syrian refugees in part of a campaign to distribute 11,500 food parcels in camps (Zaatari) and (Al-Azraq) north and east of Jordan over two days.

Dr. Ibrahim Ahmed Abdullah Saleh, Director General of Zakat House, said that the aids include food items help Syrian refugees to receive holy month of Ramadan, and he pointing out that this payment distributed in Zaatari camp and the next one will be distributed in Al-Azraq camp.

He added that the aids come in the framework of assistance provided by the Kuwaitis to the Syrians since the outbreak of the Syrian crisis, stressing that the State of Kuwait and the relief institutions which constantly following the needs of refugees and working to meet them.

And he stressed that the continuation of assistance from the Zakat House to include Syrian refugees in Lebanon and Turkey, calling the Kuwaiti people to provide more support and assistance to refugees to alleviate their plight.

However, 83 thousand of Syrian refugees living in Zaatari camp which being held in northern Jordan, and about 13 thousand of Syrian refugees living in Al-Azraq camp in east of Amman.
